    His shirt is pretty big, too.  Recent weight loss?

          All my running shorts are 9" inseam. And I don't own any singlets either. At some point I may need to get more serious about my apparel.

            The last part is the key. Assuming you care about your marathon performance,  give yourself time to recover fully. Half mileage this week with no speed work. 75% next week with one easy speed session late in the week. Back to normal training after that.

             

            Good luck in the marathon. Looks like you have a decent shot of reaching your goal.

            Short term goal: 17:59 5K

            Mid term goal:  2:54:59 marathon

            Long term goal: To say I've been a runner half my life.  (I started running at age 45).
