We do not get the poodle cut for ours. Not a big fan. She is a toy - weighs about 10 lb. Nice thing about a dog that size is when she comes inside from being in the mud, you can scoop her up and drop her in the laundry sink.

We had a white toy poodle, about 7 lbs. We always just got the "puppy cut". She was always energetic and bright white into her teens and everyone thought she was still a puppy. When her hair was grown out she looked like a lamb. In fact, we used her as a lamb in skits in children's church and the little kids would say "is that a real lamb?".

The weird thing was that we never intentionally trained her at all but we could just talk to her like she was a person and she'd do what we asked. It was kinda spooky actually. Never had another dog like that.

      30 minutes on the treadmill.

I would think anyone running with a GSD will be left alone. The ones I had growing up were small, I don't think either ever got over 60lbs. The last one had long hair, so she looked much larger.

How do you groom her? Yes, that would be really awesome to just be able to scoop her up. Ours will be a bit more of a challenge when she gets dirty.

We take her to a groomer. Or do you mean what style? Because that's totally my wife's area.

I got nothin' when it comes to furry friend pics.

I am definitely not a vegetarian and carbs are my friend.  So is fat.  As I kid I grew up drinking milk from a hand milked cow so I have a real appreciation for ice cream, cheese, yogurt, ice cream, chocolate milk, ice cream, etc... If it starts with a moo I probably like it.  Well, dodging cow generated landmines while running on the roads isn't too cool.  Or worse, when the wind is blowing the over spray from the giant manure sprayer over the road isn't too good, either.

1 mile of the step running thing and 1 mile on the TM.  Got int to a sports doc -- leg specialist -- on Tuesday.  Turns out he thinks I have plica syndrome.  Got a new Cho-Pat double knee strap.  OK to try running with it and have a referral for PT.  Also have the usual tight hips, ITB, hams, etc...  Need to address all the tightness or the knee will flare back up.  Good news is the x-rays showed no evidence of any arthritis or degeneration.

DavePNW, twins! Same for me. 14 races, 4 with course issues, all short.

I'm gonna go for 15 & see what happens.
