FriDAILIES! (Read 44 times)

Runshortii

Hey everyone, I used to post on the RW forum and I posted here for a little bit too. Got busy finishing nursing school and wasn't running much, started running again this past summer. Trained for a fall HM and a ran a nice 6 minute PR from my previous fastest HM in 2012.  Got injured in late November with what I think was either a mild tibial stress fracture or a reaction. Didn't run for almost 6 weeks, but just did my 8th run without any tibial pain. So I'm cautiously optimistic  Did an easy 3 miles today, 15 run/2min walk/15 run. Besides feeling out of shape, felt pretty good. Also been trying to work on my strength training.

Anyway, I plan on starting to post here again..hope everyone's training is going well!

onemile: I'm in Wisconsin too. winter training is never fun! So far those it's been an okay winter, at least around here

After 2+ hours in traffic, I am home.  And it's raining like crazy and we are flooded.  I think it's margarita night anyway....

                  Hi!

Did I forget to post today? I came on earlier and I guess got too intimidated by the knock-down drag-out brawl on training methods.

Anyhoo, URD yesterday due having a really awful, miserable cold. Doing much better today although not 100%; got up at ass-o'clock and did the scheduled 11 mile MLR anyway. Didn't go too badly, but a bit slower than these have been, still recovering I guess. But it got done. This weekend I promise to read the training plan more carefully.

Sorry about everyone's snowpocalypse. This morning it was drizzly & 50 degrees. Yay, me.

Yeah, this winter has actually been pretty mild.

Are you planning on any spring races?

Sorry Jill and BlueRun about the cancellation, but it's not surprising given the forecast.  Stay warm.

I'm planning on running the Wisconsin HM in Kenosha on May 7th. It's my hometown race and a nice flat course. What about you?

That's funny. This is the one I am planning on running too.  I ran it in 2014 and liked it.
