B-Plus plus, have a great run.

scottydawg, have an amazing hill run.

Andrew, I'm glad that your friend is recovering so well. What a relief!

I did weights and forty-five minutes on the ArcTrainer. I'm on my way home to do push-ups and ab work.

Poll for y'all: is it too soon for me to begin speedwork? Or should I just keep doing what I'm doing for the rest of April?

Recovery is a personal thing and you are two weeks removed from your event and seem to be dong well.  I would say start with some strides then work your way up the paces each week doing marathon pace next week, tempo/10k the following week, VO2 max/ 5k the week after that and you should be fine.

Or if you think you can do faster stuff now just limit their duration like doing 800's as opposed to 1000's or 1200's.

Andrew - Good news! I'm glad to hear he is recovering so quickly.

Basya - +1 to what LRB said.

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.
