I ran my first marathon in the Ghost 5 and my second in the Launch 2. Maybe it's because I had to go up half a size in the latter anyway (the seam at the front of the toe box was super annoying in my regular size), but it was SUCH a pleasure to run in them. You know how sometimes after a long run you want to rip your shoes off your feet because you can't take another second in them? Never happened. I drove home in them because I FORGOT I hadn't changed my shoes after the race.
Thankfully I've never had to deal with that.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

How bad can it be? You have a tri Sunday ffs.
A little over 7. Picked up the effort in the last mile, which was mostly uphill.
Baboon, how long of a taper do you do for an Ironman?
I get two days of easy workouts to recover.

I'll be doing a two week taper.
And a 6 month recovery.
