I remember when you could go into Radio Shack and not be embarrassed.

Hip Redux
I bought my first cell phone from the shack back in 1995. The service was through Cellular 1, which became Air Touch, which became Verizon.
They were referred to as car phones back then.
Ever seen a pack of 6?
Nope. lol
There you go.
The old heads in the RSG would flip out if you posted that there...of course they flip out over just about anything don't they. lol

I buy in bulk, but then again I have a 3 year old. Batteries get used up fast.

Who needs a 3yo? I usually struggle to find 8 packs or more. Amazon won't ship lithium batteries to Alaska as I found out a couple weeks ago. (alkaline batteries are worthless in winter up here)
Let's see, we're playing with trail counters (3 AA per counter, 3 AAA for the reader), headlamps (3 or 4 AAA, depending which one), hand GPS, 2 AA, used to use 3 field computers x 6 AA per computer, mice (or is that mouses). Then there's clocks, flashlights for emergencies, etc. I've got some rechargeables, but they don't last as long as regular batteries.
How can you just need two AA batteries?

Are we there, yet?
The battery died so they called AAA.

This thread reminded me that I have several two AA & four AAA batteries that I've been carrying around in my backpack for a couple of weeks, and I need to go down the hall and deposit them in the battery recycling bucket in the main office.
Retired & Loving It
Well, did you get the batteries??
No. lol
They are for my stupid Comcast remote. I might just as soon go get a new remote from them (which comes with new batteries) than buy an 8-pack of batteries.
Here's the thing though; the remote still works, just not as good. Once it dies completely I will be forced to act so the clock is ticking...
