Cyber Penguin Sunday (Read 29 times)

From the Internet.

Lauren, make sure to get a little cutback in there.

Ooh good call. I'm always thinking about pushing forward, which is why it took me a year to even get to this point!

This week actually might not be a bad time for a cutback since I have a whole lot of experiments planned.. better to take it while I'm feeling good than to wait until I'm forced to take time off.

Hog: I'll be running a race, might ice skate on frozen feet. It's my first so who knows. I've been using a cross between the Higidon Novice 2 and Intermediate , both had a lng run of at least 10 the week before.

Cherie: I think it looks like a Borg Penguin. Smile

        on my way to badass

Garmin=Forerunner 10.  That is enough technology for me.  It gives me the info I need to get better plus a little extra.  I found out that my distances (guessing) where a little bit off.  Today I did a real 6.  It took forever, but I did it.

Cherie, sorry to hear about your friends mother. How old is your friend? Will it be a problem of him/her taking guardianship?

PAD, You're doing 10 mile LR today and then racing a half next week? Or just running the half? Don't sweat it on the weather, everyone else will have the same disadvantage.

Jack, good luck next weekend! Wasn't Cherie doing this one with you?

            Jerry, nice week.

            LRB, sup?

Stone, you will like the Garmin, but it's like Cherie said after a while, it almost becomes a crutch.

Dan, I'm eager to see the speed on the 3k. What type of plan are you using?

Today is a RD for me. I had my highest weekly mileage ever last week at 51.7, and it would have blown out my monthly PR except for that I took a full week off around the 13th. Still ended the month at 145 though.

Question for some of the marathon peeps, Damaris, Jack, Bin, Cherie, Awood; I really want/need to hear some opinions about me choosing a pace. Should I just post a separate thread here, or is there a better place? Maybe out on the main board?

I would open a new thread so that you can have some non-penguin opinions.  If you don't prefer that, shoot ahead.

Hi, guys.  Space Coast Marathon done.  Faster than the last 5 marathons I did last month, but yes, I need the fibroids taken out because otherwise, I cannot run fast due to the pain.  Still, a strong effort amid the pain.

Hubby did his first HM today and he beat both of our expectations by a lot.  We were targeting 3:15, 3:07 on a good day.  He did 2:39.

Mitch - no real plan for the 3k. I might do some 800 repeats this month to prepare. I doubt I will beat last year's time because I haven't done any speed work since September because of my calf.

                Personal Bests:
