Kinvara 3 versus Kinvara 4 (Read 61 times)

Brrrrrrr

Uffda

I wore the Virrata's for the first time today. It was pretty nice. I was a little achy today, but that might have been from my higher mileage week last week ending with a 5k.

I did go with a half-size up from my normal shoe. It's the same size I wear in the Kinvara 3. They feel really nice, actually a hair snugger than the Kinvaras. They are very light. I almost want to go to a heavier trainer so I can give my legs more of a workout during training. For $42 on liquidation + FB coupon from Running Warehouse, you really can't beat them.

    Wickedly Average

I've got a pair of 4's, with which I set 5 PR's in 7 races, two of which were half marathons. They are very light, fast shoes.

The downside - I probably need more cushion than these offer. I traded the thick cushion for light weight and that may (or may not, just theorizing) have contributed to my knee issues last fall.

      Never tried the 3s.
