I do like getting into the office around 10, I just don't like that I don't get home until 8 or 9.
Hmm, on Tuesdays, I would take that arrangement. I could run for hours at the track!
Wickedly Average
Evening, Dailies!
Hope everyone's having or has had a great day. It's hump day after all. nothing but good can come from that!
No run today, SRD for me. I did drive about 600 miles today though, from Jacksonville to Beckley, West - By Gawd - Virginia! Took a nice 2 mile walk through an old cemetery after dinner to unwind and get some exercise after being cooped up in the car all day.
Lunch was at Cracker Barrel - pretty decent.
Dinner at Texas Steak House - below average, especially considering the price. Should have crossed the bridge and ate at Applebee's.
300 more miles to drive tomorrow. May or may not run tomorrow afternoon/evening, not sure yet. Will certainly run Friday, and will be doing the River Run Half in the Cleveland area on Sunday.
Getting sleepy and it's only 8:15. Yawn!!!!!

Depending on which way you are headed, Tom, you might be able to hit this place in Fayetteville (about 30 min from Beckley, north). Their pizza is good!

I snuck in another run this afternoon, 3.2 miles on the trails and it felt great. 6.4 miles this morning and 3.2 miles this afternoon so that gives me 9.6 miles today.

PRs
5k - 24:15 (7:49 min/mile pace)
10k - 51:47 (8:16 min/mile pace)
15k -1:18:09 (8:24 min/mile pace)
13.1 - 1:53:12 (8:39 min/mile pace)
26:2 - 4:14:55 (9:44 min/mile)
Running double duty 'eh? Those are nice numbers!
Thanks, Oski. Too late for today, though. I'll be heading out around 0700 or 0730 tomorrow morning so I don't think I'll get a chance to try their pizza this time around.
Beckley, WV is in a very nice area and I'd love to spend a few days here in the mountains to do some exploring.
Eh, it doesn't give you as much time as you'd think, after accounting for getting ready for work and commuting. I was on the roads at the same time as you were and barely had time to squeeze in my 8 miles.
(Sorry, today's just one of those days when I have trouble understanding how people have time for anything. Last week was the same way but with money.)
I would have run 6 at a minimum, then see how I felt about going 3 more. I would still run the 3 on Friday regardless of what happened today.
I ended up with about 7. Did the course for Saturday's five miler, which is basically a 2 mile loop and then a 3 mile loop. Did the two mile loop a second time, and then was out of daylight. Days are getting shorter. Going to have to start leaving work earlier on long days, or start carrying a light and vest.
thank you, I figure I should take advantage of beautiful days. I don't really plan on getting a PR at this weekend's 15k race, but I do plan on resting the next two days except for walking.

7 easy miles. I have to figure out where to go on vacay in October, so many options!
10 miles at dusk, making good use of the cold front that went though and made the evening downright fall-like. A 6:12 pace was surprisingly comfortable; and I thought a lot about how maybe sub 3 is only the beginning.
We could have told you that long, long, ago.
8 @ 8:49.

But I don't think ninja stub their toes and get dizzy doing forward rolls. :P
20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.
