18 incl. 8 at MP. I'm beat. That's all I could do. I'll run another 2 tonight just for the principle of it. 75 miles for the week, 20 of them at MP.

From the Internet.
An hour of pool running intervals and lifting done. Completely negated by lunch: bowl of clam chowder, a grilled cheese, and a blondie.
MTA: I emailed the week's workouts to my coach, he said to let him know if I want to try the Alter-G as part of my comeback - I am intrigued! I'll call my podiatrist tomorrow to see when he thinks I could do that, don't want to try it too soon and mess up my toe.
Bluerun and LRB can tell you all you want to know about AlterGs!
My 16 were easy today as per instructions. Only easy LR on the plan.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

6.26 miles at 8:06 pace. We'll call that a hill run. There's this one hill in the neighborhood that I only do once in a while since it's a beast (to me, anyway...200' of uphill in one mile). I did it my fastest today, which is cool since I did not push the effort. Ran it at an 8:24 pace. I remember when I ran it at a 12:00 pace, and when I ran it so slow that my Garmin auto-paused.

The Alter G is awesome!
Your first day on it you will be over the moon. If you have access to one be all about it!
FYI my plan calls for 50 minutes easy next Friday. Also, I have Thursday and Saturday ass kickers, so Friday needs to stay easy.
That is great. Thursday I'm running 12 with 9 at MP, and Friday is supposed to be easy for me. Plus, we have to leave by 12, so a two hour run would have been difficult to fit in, with time to get back, shower, pack... So all it's all good with me. If we go early enough, we could have time for a bagel or muffin and coffee or something.

I went to the indoor track and because of state fair the parking lot was closed, traffic was insane and there was nowhere to park (unless I wanted to pay $20 to park in someone's front yard). So I turned around and drove home. I ran 11 on the treadmill and then 5 outside.
3 miles easy 3 miles tempo 6 miles alternating MP and easy pace 2 miles of 1 minute on / 1 minute off 2 miles cool down
This was probably the hardest workout I have done.

Where did this workout come from?
And what does the part in bold mean?
I bet the toughest part was the 2 mile cool down.

No shit! You have permission to eat every single morsel of food in your house. lol

On is 5k pace or faster. Off is easy. I typically run these as hard as I can. Today was no exception. I was just unable to run them very fast.
(This was actually the hardest part. The cool down was 2nd)
Ordered pizza!
Or that!
I had one yesterday and today FFS.
