Can't believe Gatlin lost to Bolt in both the 100m *and* 200m.... (Read 32 times)

    So while they're no "Olympics" I do enjoy the World Championships as it's....well....consolation til the next big O.

     

    I swore, swore, SWORE that Gatlin was going to hand Bolt his @$$ at the World's.  That last heat race Gatlin ran 9.77.....whilst EASING UP as he crossed the line.

     

    Bolt barely mustered a 9.95 after a stumble on his last heat & never really looked like 9.7x shape runner, especially with all his start troubles.

     

    Anyway.....just saw the 200 today and just can't believe it. (not even close)

     

    I don't know if Gatlin (as good as he's running now....& all PED jokes aside) will ever have as good a chance as he had at this World's.

          Obviously, Bolt is the best of the best, even with his start problems. He is so strong about 1/4 of the race in to the finish, it's beautiful to see. Neither Bolt of Gatlin are Canadian, so I have no patriotic preference. I root for Andre DeGrasse, but he decided to only run the 100m at the Worlds. He won everything at the PanAm games. He is strong, bot not at Bolt's or Gatlin's level (yet?)

           

          And yeah, thanks for the animation, I had only read about it, but had not seen it.
