Cool WELCOME TO THE DAILIES THREAD Cool

Anyone and everyone can post your runs, cross-training, abdominal work, rest days, race plans, training questions, etc.. The only stupid question is the one you did not post. There’s a great mix of beginners and veterans, runners and walkers, and maniacs and returners (from injury, to running, to RA). We're all a little crazy here, too! While this thread is a terrific source of motivation for runners and serves as outstanding accountability, you’ll quickly find this remarkable group to be highly supportive of all life experiences. So, come on in, put your feet up, and stay awhile (not literally!) And whoever is up first is welcome to start the thread and we definitely keep some weird hours around here.

      Mornin' All You Beautiful People!

10 lovely miles in wonderful 48* temps! Had about 30 cars pass me which is unusual at 4:00 am. Smile

Have a great day, workout and weekend!

Hey, I'm first to the dailies for a change. Woke early this morning and got in 5 easy miles outside in some beautiful conditions ... feels like temp matched the actual temp ... 10 F. There were a couple of inches of fresh snow to track through but it was a fun run. Now off to a mens conference for church. Have a good day everyone.

        Train smart ... race smarter.

        LRB

          What up doe!

Speed work is on tap today but it is snowing right now and with temps currently at 15 degrees with a wind chill of 3, I will not be going out in that crap for a while.

Shit, I still haven't warmed up from being in it all day yesterday so for now it will be me, my computer, cartoons on TV and coffee.  Lots and lots of coffee.

Morning!  I have 10 miles tonight.

flarunner, I am jealous of your 48F.

            Bruce, enjoy the easy 5.

            LRB, enjoy the speedwork.

              Morning, early risers!
Fla - 4 a.m. is too early on a Saturday!
              Bruce - Enjoy the snow.

LRB - Are you watching Curious George again?
D - Hope your breathing has settle down. Have a good run!

I set my alarm last night, then forgot to turn it on, so I'll be a bit later than I had wanted getting to the Y for the long run, which I will do on the TM or maybe some TM and some track. 17 miles on tap. The reward will be getting to have a date night with DH tonight. We're going to try a new place, so I hope it meets expectations.

20,000 miles behind me, the world still to see.

Well I have the same weather as LRB, but it would be a warm-up compared to the arctic expedition I went on last night. Will probably wait till mid-day, expected to hit 20.

Modified: just re-read this & so it is clear -- 20 refers to the temperature, not the mileage. As if.

I'm having my coffee then heading out for a 10 miler today.  It'll be my longest run to date.  The weather is cold but nice, so it should be a good run if I keep my mind in the game.

Going to do 3 miles in a bit......then back to start on a pot of gumbo for tomorrow's dinner.

Shari, thanks for reminding me.  Yes, it now hears fine.  Funny how people commented this week that I was wheezing and I didn't even notice.  Enjoy your LR.

Dave, hope your run goes well and it's not a trek to the North Pole.

robinde, good luck on your longest run!

Sparker, have fun with the 3 and cook away!

Flarunner: Now that is absolutely PERFECT weather for a run!!!  Great work getting ten in already today!  You are always done running when  I'm still sitting on the couch, trying to wake up.  What a great start to your day!

Bruce: Wow!  5 in for you early today as well - in the cold and snow, nonetheless!  Fantastic job!

LRB: Snowy speed work.  Yuck!  What do you have on tap?

Shari: 17 miles indoors?  We are twinsies.  I'm doing the same with my 20!  Have a great LR.

Damaris: I hope the 10 tonight go well!

Dave: How far are you going today?

Robinde: That is a real milestone: your first double-digit run!  I hope it goes well!!!!  Report back in afterward!!  GOOD LUCK!

Sparker: Good luck on the 3 miler today!  Gumbo???  Delish!!  What a nice day you have planned - enjoy!

I'm going to attempt 20 miles this morning, but considering that I ran that crazy fast tempo last night and a MP the day before, I'm not sure how well that is going to go!  If my legs are too trashed, I'll do a recovery run instead, but it's more convenient for me to handle my runs this way this weekend.

Getting ready for the gym. I am going to mostly do the elliptical....but the PLAN is to jump on the treadmill for a very, very, short run! Fingers crossed for pain free!!!

And then this evening I am signed up for a 90 minute massage with a medical massage therapy specialist. It's going to be crazy expensive, but I am hoping worth it!

                            Hey runmom,

Well I was going to do 8 last night & 12 today, but I ended up doing 12 last night (you of all people know how when it's going good, you just want to keep going). So probably only 8 today, but we'll see.

Good luck on the 20! I am sure you will get it done. I have never run indoors other than the TM. I don't think there is an indoor track anywhere near me.

LRB - do you know of one?

                            Dave

2.5 cold, painful miles. Sad  Will be stretching and rolling my IT band today.

Time for coffee.  What'll you have?

                                Do you even run?
