Really? Where are you people, now that I'm on Eastern time?
Planned on 10 w/5 tempo. Legs had nothing. Maybe due to a heavy week, maybe due to running in the morning after running yesterday evening. After a very sluggish warmup, tried to go into tempo and results were laughable. I hoped maybe it would be just the first mile, but got no faster - 4 miles of 8:15ish. Then the 5th mile somehow got reasonably close to tempo - 7:30ish. Didn't really want to end it there, so kept it going for the last 2 which were intended to be cooldown. So it was 3 warmup, 4 @ MP+15, 3 @ tempo+15. Whatever you want to call that.
Flying home this afternoon, thank god.

Apparently we're still replying to the Thursday thread instead of letting go of the past and starting anew.
I swam before work. I skipped the masters and did my own thing (2500 yards) and I am glad I did because the masters session was doing all sorts of weird stuff. Run tonight.

Dorian fell asleep early (like 7:30) and decided he was staying asleep last night so I was worried that he would wake up early this morning, I set my alarm for 2:15 AM.... Ironically he didn't wake up until I got home and tried to change him just after 6 AM....
And then after the gym, I headed home and got the dogs and we went for a run.

'Sup.
I planned to run this morning, but with a wind chill of 23, 18 mph steady winds and gusts of 28, I hit the FTS button on the clock. 👎
I'll try to get it in later when the winds will still be high, but it won't be dark or cold AF.
I set my alarm for 2:15 AM
That's just wrong.

Good morning!
It's a cool but beautiful day here. It would have been a nice morning for a run.
Have a kickass day folks!

Yesterday I changed the password on my personal email account and the strength of it was classified as brilliant. This morning I couldn't remember exactly what it was and got locked out of the account. Brilliant, indeed.
I hate the strong password, use a different one for everything, oh, and change it regularly. Yep, I forget them. I spent way too long arguing with Apple for $7 on an iTunes gift card on my account because I couldn't remember the password. They were more protective than my retirement account when the same thing happened.
lol - It's the same with Jimmy John's online ordering. What. It's a sandwich place.
I've gotten much better over the years with password strength and methods to remember each one. For me, there has to be a rhyme to reason so to speak. That way I can recall it without looking it up!
LOL. Genius!
In here they force us to put very difficult passwords, then to change them every 90 days. Mostly everybody has them written somewhere on their desk (can't remember them) which kinds of defeats the purpose of having difficult passwords, but hey, the government does not have to make sense!
Docket, I had one at work that changed every 90 days and I didn't use that system on a regular basis. I lost track of how many times I had to have it reset. I don't think I was the only one--we recently switched to single sign on. Whew.
When we got our new telephony system at work, the IT boss decided we needed a PIN of 6 numbers for our voice messages, and had to change it every 3 months. Seriously? I couldn't care less if you listened to my voice messages. I decided that I would not use voice messaging. So the red light started flashing and it stayed that way for a few months when they finally decided to change the rule to a more adquate one of a minimum of 4 numbers, and we never need to change it. 9999 for me, thank you very much.

I was an IT Security specialist for about 6-8 years, and that comment of yours is very true.
I'm all for pass phrases for IMPORTANT systems, and a looser rule for less important systems, but no imposed special characters. Long pass phrases, easy to remember, like : "I like my mommy and daddy a lot" are great. No hacker is gonna guess it, its is mathematically very much stronger than a 8 character long with 1 special character, a number and a mix of upper and lower letters, and chances are you'll remember it and won't write it down.
A couple thoughts... I personally prefer 1 workout + 1 long run workout to 2 workouts + 1 easy paced long run. Partly because if I have a hard Friday workout, a lot of times I am still feeling it on Sunday and my long run is rather miserable. And partly because I feel the fittest after doing a few good hard long run workouts. Right now Addie seems to be alternating every other week. I do think running around MP is useful I also like to include some race pace miles. They give me confidence and I feel like the more I do, the easier that pace becomes I would have a hard time mentally to have to run 6 straight miles at HMP every week
