          2)  Keep training hard

Turkey Day is the Manchester Road Race.  A 5 miler with 15,000 of my closest friends.

Well it kind of depends on whether if I can get off work. There are some great races around here for turkey day but my family is doing turkey in the OBX. But, my goals for the month:

#1 - Enjoy whatever races I end up doing

            #2 - stay healthy

            #3 - Hit 100 miles

I'd like to have A weight loss goal but I want to wait til I get situated at my job and the schedule. The good news is they have both a gym and a deli there. Nervous for such a big change but really excited!

              - Run a bunch of miles and start a taper at the end of the month.

              - Start running intervals that make more sense.

              - Avoid a return of the dreaded PF.

              PRs: Boston Marathon, 3:27, April 15th 2013

                      Cornwall Half-Marathon, 1:35, April 27th 2013

              18 marathons, 18 BQs since 2010

              RSX

My only goal is 135 miles.

I have a 5k on Thanksgiving which is a lot of fun. Our family dinner will be on Saturday this year.

HM#3 of the Autumn is Nov 9th, and my goal was to PR there, but having just set one under fairly ideal conditions it is going to be a stretch.

                  I'm sticking with it though.

                  A - Goal Sub 1:45

B - Goal 1:45:47 (just 60 seconds faster gets me a Peachtree Wave A time)

                  C - Goal - PR (1:46:46 or better)

Nov 16th I have a 12 hour race where I want to set a new distance PR, and have a stretch goal of 50 miles

Turkey day plans - the Atlanta Half marathon taking it fairly easy (would be happy with sub 2 hour), then after getting home and showering spending time with the family.

I'd also like to get a 40 mile bike ride in setting a new distance PR for that, probably do that either the Monday before Thanksgiving (I'm off all week), or the weekend after - depending on the weather.

I'm also wondering how the heck taking it fairly easy, half marathon and sub 2 hour came to be combined into one sentence.

Turkey Day plans: 5K Turkey Trot then food with my parents. I think it will just be me and my parents this year. My grandma was going to visit but my aunt thought Thanksgiving was the 21st not the 28th (seriously....look at a friggin calender!) and booked her flight wrong, so now she is visiting the week BEFORE Thanksgiving. And my brother is in grad school in Hawaii and that is a long ass flight for turkey.

                              1. Keep the knee pain at bay

                              2. The rest will take care of itself

Turkey day: just the 4 of us. And no definite food plans yet, but sometimes we just blow off the turkey & put steaks on the grill.

Just found out my November 10th 10K....which would be my 8th 10K I had registered for since trying for the sub-60 goal....has been changed to a 6.7 mile race. I am so disappointed. Each time I have tried for my goal, something ridiculous has happened. Like a fire. I am so close to it I can taste it and I have been PUMPED for this November 10th race..... sigh.
