It will also be my first marathon in over 18 years, my last one being a DNF due to stomach cramps. The last marathon I finished was in 1981 so this wil be a huge PW for me regardless of how well I run. I estimate it will be my slowest by more than 90 minutes and possibly by as much as 2 hours if the temps and humidity are bad.

Geez man, don't sound so excited.  You are climbing new mountains now so it's okay, or as SRL would say; gonna be alright.

I'm actually kind of amused at the prospect because it's so antithetical to most people's anticipation of an upcoming marathon. My slowest marathon was a bit of a disaster back in 1978 when I ran 3:31:08, a time most runners here would probably envy.

                  Decatur Steeple Chase 8k

This is my 4th year running this one, it was my very first race, hope to beat last year's time of 39:36 .

                  May 27th

Cotton Row 10k(registered), and maybe the 5k(not registered yet). My goal is to beat last year's time of 55:04, ultimately hope to break 49:30 in the 10k. If I do the 5k, it will be for fun or maybe to pace a forumite.

                  Also have a FE planned.

Finished the Steeple Chase 8k in 40:57 which was good for 2nd in AG. The weather was terrible, rain and 42 degrees, this made me ditch my original goals and just finish so I could go home. Last year's time of 39:36 was 6th in AG, so all the fast old guys stayed home today.
