I just got my virtual goody bag for my 1/2 Sun, and there was a coupon to get a discount to run this race- I want to run it just to get the medal. It says that the photo is last year's medal- I hope this year's is a bottle opener, too.

The 2012 RW Half Festival medal was also a bottle opener, but I personally would never use it for one.

I got bottle opener medal at the 2010 Atlantic City Marathon. I wear it/use it frequently when we're hanging out in the back yard in the summer.
Heck yes. A bottle opener is made to be used.

I saw that- I've never heard of a race doing that before. I don't race a lot, though.
