Misty

Oh Kristin that's awful! Thank God your kids were inside...the what if's of that story are sickening.

    Bless your heart.

Kristin: I'm so glad your sweet babies are OK!

Good morning, guys!  I have 9 miles planned for tonight, including 6 x 800m intervals.  Happy Tuesday!

      Jenven

Kristen79: Good for you for getting out there! I woke up at 6 and it was still dark, so I slept for a bit more, still dark at 7 due to the clouds and incoming rain, so I said, "F it. I'll run tonight."

RunTomRun: This place definitely needs donuts.

They caught two more coyotes in my neighborhood, so now I'm REALLY excited about trail running tonight.

        Started C25K on 9/6/12. First 5K set for 1/13/13.

          running is bad for you

Whoa Kristin - glad everyone is safe and I hope they throw the book at that kid (do they still say that?  it means STICK HIM WITH ALL THE FINES and punishments he's entitled too!)  Heh heh

            I'm reading a lot of:

            X body part hurts

X body part is feeling better

            Taking it easy

            Getting better......

What's going on here?  Everyone take some Aleve and HEAL UP!

Nothing new here.  Just keep swimming.....

            Docket_Rocket

Or everybody please slow down.  Running is never achy or hurtful!

              Fear is a Liar

TUESDAILIES and I got mad hits like I was Rod Carew

There's a name you don't hear mentioned at running expos or social drinking gatherings any more!

I'm so vegetarian I don't even eat animal crackers!

                TxDiverMom

Yep, Gustav...only old farts will even know who Rod Carew is.

I've decided I'll post yesterdays stuff the next morning.  I'm usually an evening runner and don't get around to posting till everyone else has gone to bed.

5.5 miles yesterday.  It's so weird how sometimes something is easy and other times it's hard.  I'm just learning that!

So last night it was 70 degrees, very humid, I ran at the end of the day and was tired = sort of yucky run.  Not awful, but the kind where you keep pushing and get it done.

Saturday it was 58 and perfect, I was well rested, and I ran around beautiful lakes = amazing run!

I just didn't realize all this affects your pace and experience so much!!!  Sat. pace = 11:43 for 5 miles and finished the last 3 at 12:35 mm.  Today, I was tired doing 5 at 13:28.

I'm realizing you just keep on plugging along!

                  Melissa

                  TxDiverMom

Kristin, so glad the kids were fine and everything ended up ok...even though it will be a pain, I'm sure.  That's quite scary!

                    LKDave

                      Fell better, Misty.

Kristin- I am happy to hear you and your family are all unscathed.

So I popped in at the old house a few minutes ago. Spam-team thread-spam-penguins-spam-question thread- lots of spam and an occasional legit thread, including at least one that is just about what happened. No daily that I could see on page 1, so here I am. Great to see you all.

5.5 miles general early this morning. I was fortunate to be in between rain showers- just a drizzle when I was out on the road. Although I don't usually see many other runners at that time, I usually see at least one. I think this was the first time in a while that I saw no one else running or walking or even walking their dog. (except high school kids for the bus- one running to catch it. The HS bus comes at 6:30!)  C'mon, it was not really that cold.

ETA: Wait- I know who Rod Carew is. Great hitter. Am I an old fart?

DAVE!  Hi!  I'm glad you came over!!!!  Now, if Weezer and Mike made the jump, it'd be back to business as usual!   I've noticed the same thing re: the lack of runners.  I miss my anonymous friends!

TX Diver:I have the same crazy swings in my pace too!!  It's incredible, isn't it, what a difference a little rest makes?!?!
