Good morning and HOORAY MONDAY!  It beats being dead.  Morning swim postponed to the afternoon because I didn't want to leave the dog home alone for 10+ hours.  So, after work I will swim then pedal.  No running today, which I am good with.  My thighs are sore as hell for some reason.

        Morning!

My right hip is a bit sore this morning. Gonna cut down on pushups and integrate more myrtl routine stuff in my daily points system.

Will be running some easy miles today.

Damn, the ads are back, my subscription is over. This is the one site where I de-activated my adblocker because at 10$ per year, I would not want to steal any over Eric smiley face's revenue.

Morning.  I might run tonight, depending on whether I can breathe.  Important.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

My upper body is sore from shoveling & what amounted to lots of shovel slams to knock snow down so DH could use the blower. More shoveling later today so we can get onto the street. Need to get on the treadmill at some point today, I skipped yesterday.

25 trainer miles.  Plus the XT involved in getting to work in this disgusting slippy slide-y mess.

You know those people who walk (or attempt to walk) while their noses are buried in their phone screens?  Annoying under regular circumstances.  Absolutely infuriating when there's one tiny little path between two walls of snow for everyone to pass through to cross the street, and you're hogging it because you can't wait five fucking seconds to look at your phone!!

Nope, it wasn't an irritating morning at all.  I have no idea why you'd think so.

My poor choice of parking my Tahoe Saturday screwed up my run Sunday, took an hour out of my time (and run) to go and get it. These new shoes (GT-2000 4) are going back, every time I've ran in them my feet are on fire for the first 6-9 miles - tingling, numbing needle like pain with fire, like I am running barefoot on hot sand or really hot asphalt in the summer, in 100 degree bright sunshine weather

By the time I was feeling better and had reached mile 11 last night, my sister had text me that everybody at the house was starving and instead of choosing to be selfish and ignore the texts, I told her to have DH come pick me up. I kept running but he was quicker than I thought, I only managed 12.64 miles last night when I had 18 planned and it would've happened  The last 4-5 weeks have just been tough and making it obvious, maybe training for marathons or longer just isn't in my future, so much just gets in the way

The next 6 weeks will be the deciding factor.

                  Warm&fuzzy

I ran 10.4 icy, slushy miles.  It's supposed to warm up to 50, then rain tonight and tomorrow.  I'm so tired of the snow and ice that the idea of 15 miles on clear roads, in the rain, with some speedwork really turns me on.  We will see if I am that enthused when I roll out of bed in the morning.

I hope everyone has a great day!

I walked into a Christmas tree a couple of weeks ago trying to avoid one of those people.  From now on, I'm just going to walk straight into them.  If you can't be bothered to look where you're going... it's not my problem.

(And no, I didn't walk into an upright Christmas tree.  It was lying out on the curb for pickup, and the trunk bashed right into my leg and left a nice bruise.)

At least you didn't run into a mailbox. I couldn't run for a week because of the bruised ribs and the hand I broke still hurts.

What I hate also is when people who walk/talk 2-3 wide on the sidewalk. If they don't see me, I'll go around them, but if they do see me, I take the right hand side of the sidewalk, take as little space as I can, but run right ahead. They better move.

But most people don't care about others. It is the same people who leave their stuff in the middle of the aisles at Costco, who double-park on a crowded street and block all traffic. Some people just don't care about others or their surroundings.

                                Sorry about your leg.
