Return To Racing
Kristin, so glad for your painless, fast run. Hope it continues. If we ever make it to NYC, we will have to run with you in Central Park (Bucket List).
Skirt Runner
Absolutely! I actually haven't made it to Central Park to run yet myself!!! Haha.... I have been meaning to get over there for a long run on a weekend one of these days (I live in Brooklyn so I would have to take the subway over there, so it's not really an option on a work day). I like to try to do cool long runs on weekends when time allows....I did one where I ran over the Brooklyn Bridge into Manhattan, through Chinatown, and then back to Brooklyn over the Manhattan Bridge and finished in Brooklyn Bridge Park. That was one amazing run. I plan to run a 10K in Central Park on April 6th though if I can continue to run without any more ITB issues, and looking forward to it!

From the Internet.
Kristin - Faster cadence and shorter stride dropped almost a full minute off my pace, that would be my bet Glad you were able to have a good, pain-free run!
Interesting.... I wish I knew about the fact that I was overstriding a lot sooner...maybe I would be speedier and not injured haha.
Smaller By The Day
Just checked into a hotel with a broken treadmill. There's a winter storm rolling in. Looks like I'm headed to a Planet Fitness, and I swore to never set foot in one of those places. Argh! Places like Planet Fitness used to turn away me and my powerlifting brothers. Now, I'm a runner and they'll gladly take my money.

Do you know how hard it is to workout when the people working at the gym are eating deep dish pizza?
Awood.. haa.. That's a little inconsiderate.. Don't they all eat like Ben stiller in Dodge ball?
Awood that sucks about the TM
So I'm off to yoga.... Usually I will either go to yoga 4:30 on Friday or 1:30 on Saturday. But the weather is likely going to be really bad at both times....so I'm being Pre-emptive and going to an 8:30-10:00pm class now. Usually I'm too wiped after a 10.5 hour work day, but since I was off my full time job today I have plenty of energy for it. I think it will cap off a great day
I just cranked some GnR and tried to forget where I was.I felt like a trader going into a gym that slams meatheads and lunks on their sign, only to greet you with a sign inside that says, "no judgement zone", "you belong". Should read, "hypocracy is delicious with deep dish pizza".
Sorry guys. I should just be greatful that I got a run in. Even if it did cost $20. Damn...there I go again. I'm done.
I wouldn't mind the pizza, as long as they gave me a slice. If not, I'd stop on my way back to the hotel and get my own. I hope your travels didn't take you into the storm zone. It's supposed to start earlier than expected.
Kristin - have fun with your yoga. Sounds like a good idea taking advantage of the calm before the storm. Sounds like you won't get out much this weekend. I did a yoga video this afternoon after my run. It's a nice way to stretch out.
Ginny - 8 inches by morning. Its coming down like crazy. The gym took more money than I expected. So, I didn't have money for anything on the way to the hotel. I got some peanut M&M's from the vending machine for dinner with a diet Dew. This trip has run a muck.
Awood - that's hard. I've had cookies for dinner, when backpacking in bad weather, but M & M's just wouldn't hold me long.
