This is asked and answered, but I'm here to say is that this pretty much why I stopped spending time on ebay. There's a not small group of sellers who make their money with obscene shipping charges. Dunno how they get the item they are selling... probably dirt cheap... but they don't care what the final selling price is of that item because it'll cover whatever cost they had finagled for it. Their profit is built into their "shipping and handling".
It's a trick from the old days of xray specs and lifesize frankenstein monsters in the backs of comic books.

Absolutely, you should comment re: the communication and shipping. I'm sorry she didn't get back to you - my husband sells a lot on ebay, and I know he would have re-evaluated shipping charges if someone brought it to his attention, and he really COULD ship it for cheaper than that. But, yay on the jacket, right? =)

Exactly. I got myself a jacket Have you ever tried one? They are like, amazing! So I pay twice as much to ship, at least it wasn't even close to the cost of the jacket new, which there is no way I could afford!

Sorry, I misunderstood and thought you were going to leave a negative rating. I don't see any problem with commenting/marking on those sections and then giving the seller an overall positive rating (providing of course that everything checks out when you receive the jacket).

Those shipping charges seem really excessive, but I was shocked at the shipping cost when I sent a few, small, lightweight packages to my family in Oregon over Christmas.
It's probably been more than a year since I've shipped anything myself (thanks to Amazon) but, wow. My Amazon Prime membership is worth every penny.
