A runner's poem (Read 24 times)

Brrrrrrr

Uffda

Absolutely stunned at my wife. Normally she's very indifferent at my running, but for the Fargo Marathon this year she bought me a gift. The gift was pretty neat (a book and something to put on your shoe), but it's the original poem she wrote in the card that bowled me over. Here it is:

    A Runner's Blessing

    May your twenty-six point two
Be run under a sky of blue.
    And the only precipitation,
    the morning dew.
May the course flow under your feet
And no perils travail you upon the street.
May the wind be at your back,
And there be no energy that you lack.
May you cross the finish line
And have a PR chipped time.
    May you reach your goal,
And your body have suffered little toll.

You did advise her that NEVARRR happens, right??

      (Very cool, btw)
