Nice job Damaris!  Basya, good luck with the 17.  I am sitting here trying to psych myself up for my 20-miler...DH is running his right now.  I know it has to be done and I usually have no problem motivating myself, but I am not feelin' it today!  I am tired from working 70 hours this week and I just want to stay inside and hang with my kiddos!  So, forum peeps...everyone please tell me to get, put on my shoes, and kick this 20-mile runs ass!!  (Of course, I have to wait til DH gets home but you get the idea!).

LR late - very late - this PM after Lego Land. I am hoping for 20, but this cold just won't let up. I am at 60 for the week, so 15+ will make me happy. Congrats on the huge PR, Damaris!

        GOOD MORNING!!!

Congrats Damaris! Can't wait to read the RR!

I slept in today, ahhh. My ITB band is happy, so once I get off my butt I'll be doing 10 miles on the treadmill and watching LOTR since I couldn't yesterday. BTW, The Hobbit was AWESOME. I may have to see it again.

I'll do the ITB Rehab that Ms. April so wonderfully posted for me yesterday (thanks April!). Probably should clean too. Maybe.

AmiK, if I'm getting up, you're getting up. GET OUT THERE!!! Smile

Smile AmiK, get out there - it feels great (in short sleeves and shorts); I see that the sun is just breaking out too.  Get out the door and R-U-N!

I wonder if I passed your DH today (I was in gray shorts and a blue/green top).

          I AM WEEZER.

As part of the 2024 London Marathon, I am fundraising for VICTA, a charity that helps blind and visually impaired children. My mentor while in law school, Jim K (a blind attorney), has been a huge inspiration and an example of courage and perseverance. Please consider donating.

5 miles today. I honestly wanted 12 miles but wasn't really feeling in the mood so I just cut it short. I think that was a good thing in retrospect. My training doesn't resume again in earnest until May so I can always do 12 next week.

kitteh, have a great nine-miler. Kay, congratulations on the race and the five miles. So_Im_ a_Runner, have fun with the six plus hill sprints. Baboon, enjoy your 5-7. Damaris, congratulations on the PR! AmiK, I wanted to stay in bed; the first ten miles sucked, but, after that, I couldn't give up because I was past the halfway point. RM2B, I hope you feel well enough to run. lilac_jive, I'm happy you feel better an hope you have a rally good run. Dave, enjoy whatever you do.
Kay, Ami, Damaris, and Rick, thank you for the kind words. While it was a relatively easy runnphysically, psychologically, it was a different matter. I just wasn't into it. At all. I'm just glad it's done.

7 miles easy progressing to 1 mile all out. If I can get the leaves raked, or some of them, I would really like to go ride for an hour or so today.

Those runs build character and strengthen resolve in running and life.  It may not seem like it today, but you are better for it.
