Berea Running Alums

Hey old farts (Read 126 times)

So it's been a few years since I've run and I'm slowly getting back into. Good to see so many ex-Berea guys here.
Hey Shag. Great to see you on here! We need to get together with Jiggles for a group run sometime soon.

Slow by nature, not by choice.

That would cool. I'm not in great shape yet so it'd have to be an easy and relatively short run.

You may thank me in gold or cash, but not kisses. Glad to see you on the site. Though I hope for Mary's sake that you wash up before going to bed after your run nowadays.

Damn you're good. I used to know all my times down to the tenth of a second but I must be senile or something because I've forgotten a lot of my times. I'll pay you with all the gold teeth I have.
            EASY 10

shag you are amazing. i was just looking at your log and for 'not running' for a while you loged 90 or so miles. also some of your best times are from 1982, which are mind blowing for however old you were at that age. i felt like the man today when i cracked 7 on my run today. i bow to you sir.
Shag, I found results for 3 of your PR times. I didn't bother with the cross country time, since you already have that. I wasn't sure where you ran the 1:55, or if it was a relay split so I didn't know where to look for that. Anyway, here you are. 1500 PR Results- http://www.siue.edu/ATHLETIC/MTCC/20032004/hayes.html 5K PR Results- http://www.usi.edu/SPORTS/track_results/2003_results/outdoor/butwilight_complete.htm 3200 PR Results- http://www.dyestat.com/state/in/1out-statemeet.htm

I haven't been running much, just started back a few weeks ago after taking about 2 years off. It's easy to gain fat and lose muscle and self discipline in 2 years. Heck, that's why I'm starting again, I need to teach myself a lesson about self discipline. 8/25/1982 was one hell of a day for me! That's when I popped into this backwards world. Jamie, thanks for the links. You and Nessie Poo are like the cute guardians of numbers. <-- did i just write that? i'll have to update my prs did="" i="" just="" write="" that?="" i'll="" have="" to="" update="" my=""></-- did i just write that? i'll have to update my prs>
