(this may have floated around before, but I saw it for the 1st time today)
#1: Do what I can do (200+ training days, 200+ aerobic hours).
#2: Race shape (1/2 marathon, 2 half Ironmans, marathon)
#3: Prepare for 2018

OW!!! Deer are not soft, either! I gasped and slapped my hand up to my mouth watching that.

I've seen that view in real life, just didn't make contact. When I lived in VA I used to ride in the woods surrounding a battlefield (National Park). You couldn't hunt there so it was massively overpopulated. Deer were everywhere like squirrels and were a constant bike AND running hazzard.
Squirrels are nuts!!! (Ha!)
