Some local group has just started a Mother's Day 5K in the SouthPark area. They say this is a "Mother's Day tradition."

My fat sweet tuches, it is. The Jewish community has been doing a race on Mother's Day for the last 4 years. It's been a 5K but this year we are adding a 10K. Start and finish in Shalom Park.

If you want to do a race on Mother's Day, please be sure to run the Friends and Family race to benefit Jewish Family Services and not this Johnny-come-lately bunch of dickwads.

There will be mimosa, massages, and more (trying to get manicures) for Moms.

I know this won't help but Whole Foods has Talenti gelato for $3.50 per container. That's outstanding!
