Way before sunrise we awake from our bed

To accomplish our dreams and set new goals

We've never met in person yet have kindred souls

To endure the pain for the sweet victory 

Blogging to tell our self-indulgent story

May we cast out negativity then finish strong

The fat lady can zip it just one more song

From bibs to body glide and gels to singlets

A runner's life is one I'll never regrets

So here is to the fact someone's always faster

A reason to press on and endure that disaster
