Hello fellow boozers. I just recently started brewing my own beer, and this looks like a good place to get some tips. Anyone else brewing?

Nice! That's a pretty hardcore setup he's got.

No, not me. Random photo from the trenternet. Would be really funny if it was their first date, eh? Big grin

It would be hilarious! My next question would have been, "how did you time that photo?" Perfect.

Cool picture. I've been brewing for a while. Write me at lking at pobox dot com if you want any tips. You don't need all that stuff I have -- you can get started for under a couple hundred dollars -- maybe even less. Check out www.morebeer.com for their starter kits, for instance. Or better yet, check out your local homebrew shop, e.g., http://www.users.qwest.net/~artsbrew/ . They'll likely be friendly and helpful, and there might be a homebrew club nearby. See http://www.beerinfo.com/index.php/pages/homebrewclubUT.html (I don't know if any of these are close. Anyway, feel free to send me a private email with any questions, and maybe I'll have some answers. Lou

Thanks for the links, Lou. We have a great homebrew store here called "The Beer Nut" very friendly and helpful. Has anyone had any luck with producing mead?
