Surprised no one started a thread on this. Good Times has the week off, so who is running it?

Yes best of luck to everyone. I will not be there. I promised Mel I would drop it last week.
So I am bared from being there tonight.

"If you run, you are a runner. It doesn't matter how fast or how far. It doesn't matter if today is your first day or if you've been running for twenty years. There is no test to pass, no license to earn, no membership card to get. You just run."
Dropping it was a good call, I thought it was pretty hellish. My legs hadn't really recovered from running around Lake Q on Friday, or an easy 13.1 that I ran on Sunday. By about mile six I knew I was done, and it became a rather unpleasant slog.
Sad thing is I probably won't learn anything from it, and will be back for more torment next year.

there's some good pics in there, thanks for posting. BTW, who is that woman with the "Susan" shirt? She should come to the GT runs.
I think what sets the YH race apart for me is the hot weather, running through the sprinklers and high-fiving the kids. The crowds and water helped me forget about the misery until well into mile 8 (Storey ave, near Papa Ginos), when my legs turned to lead and the graveyard looked attractive. Great time.....
Anyone doing the Brew Run on August 8?

Usually hot and miserable, just like YH, only half the mileage
