Although I'm not running Grandma's this year, I thought I'd make a small contribution to you folks heading to Duluth next month. Last year I found this pacing chart somewhere on the Interwebs:
http://mkleiman.googlepages.com/GrandmasMarathonPacingInfo.xls
and I thought it was pretty helpful in planning my race strategy. It allows you to plug in a target finish time, and then spits out mile split times based on the elevation changes throughout the course. It also formats a nice pace band suitable for printing; I wore one during the race last year. I'll leave the link active until after the race. Good luck everyone.
How To Run a Marathon: Step 1 - start running. There is no Step 2.
