Cell phone / GPS coverage (Read 359 times)

How's the satellite coverage for the Percy Warner park? I use Sprint for my cell provider and I know I have maybe one or two bars whenever we visit family in the White Bluff neck of the woods. I do use my cell phone to track my route as well as provide my interval timer and music(Pandora). Worried that it's not going to be work it if the GPS is always trying to pull a satellite, just wearing the battery down.

Looking to buy the Timex Ironman Run Trainer so I don't have to worry about the phone. Just can't see shelling out $200 for another watch.

My GPS (Garmin Forerunner 305) works great in them hills.

My son uses an app on his IPhone to track walks and stuff like that.

For grins, I used my Garmin 310XT, and he used his IPhone so that we could compare.  There really was no comparison, his GPS lost signal and dropped 2 miles on a 3 1/2 mile walk at Richland Greenway.  Same with PW.  It just didn't work.
