Last year taught me a lot. I got smack in the sack pretty hard. I was in about the same shape as the year before and ran over 16 minutes slower. I did not run too fast and die - What I had was just slower. The funny thing is I had done more hill work before 2010 edition.
I can only see 2 things I changes between 2009 and 2010
1) I had a beer with Trent in 2010 and not in 2009 - Maybe his home brew is Slow-Mo-Jo
2) I ran in the park the day before Monkey in 2010
** Yes the course was a but different in 2010, but that would not account for 16+ minutes. I have been spiralling down into the abyss ever since ... Maybe Monkey broke me ?

This will be my third in a row and I anticipate being there every year indefinitely

Ben is always pissed that he gets # "487" instead of "1" like any other normal race that he's won for consecutive years. I tell him maybe he wouldn't win if he didn't have that number.
I still don't know why I get 88 but i'm okay with it.

2) It's looking like swamp bourbon will be a reality in early 2012. Once the bar opens upstairs I can literally do whatever I want.

I have rethought talking bibs that all say "Candice".
It would be really odd on Monkey Morning to hear the repeated muffled chants of candice, candice, candice coming from all directions.
