Looking forward to Monkey (Read 714 times)

DoppleBock

No more dread - Just happy anticipation

Fast, Slow ... it does not matter.  I am looking forward to having people pull away from me on the uphill as I shuffle along, just to catch them on the downhill as my weight pushes me fast.

I am looking forward to being watchful for rattle snakes and humored by things hanging in trees.

I am looking forward to seeing Ben running fast and thinking about how miserable it must be to wait for the beer for 1.5 hours instead of 45 minutes.

I remember you blowing by me on a downhill last year.

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

      Just a girl who runs.

Fat rolls downhill, but crawls uphill.  That is why I can never cruise with anyone in hilly races - You are all too skinny ...

I am looking forward to seeing Ben running fast and thinking about how miserable it must be to wait for the beer for 1.5 hours instead of having it handed to me immediately after I stumble across the finish line

I was hoping people would post why they are looking forward to Monkey.  I can love Monkey because it is still over 80 days away.  If my waist size is only 2x Candices I should do well ... instead of the current 2.5x

            A Saucy Wench

I love Monkey because it is the one time a year I get away from my children and get to hang out with a couple hundred people who act more childish than my children but it doesnt matter because I am not responsible for anything.

                I really don't think you'd look healthy at a size 4.

                    My waiste is @ 36 div 2.5 = 14-15 inches

                    I need to be a 32 by Monkey - A hair more than 2 x 15.

Apparently that wasn't a very funny joke on my part.

I am looking forward to the Monkey for all sorts of reasons :

Spending time in the park with a bunch of really fun people

Not having to wait for the beer - by the time we pack up the water stop it's ready

Cheering for everyone at the award ceremony

Wondering what this year's theme is going to be ( still loving my monkey groovy shirt !)

                          Was it all a dream?

I am looking forward to seeing Ben running fast and thinking about how miserable it must be to wait for the beer for 1.5 hours instead of 45 minutes.

                            Heh.

Waiting makes the heart grow stonger Wink

I'm in the business of misery...

                            I'm back!

I am looking forward to being able to run downhill again by Monkey.
