Idiot

The email is only automatically sent to the most recent year's finishers.  And in many cases, their spam filters intercepted the email (smart, smart filters).  However, if others ask, I have let them in.

Yes, perhaps overly generous.  But prior finishers, dude, they are family.

I see, makes sense.  I get the family thing, for sure.

Every year, I'm terrified that I'll participate.  Every year, I'm terrified that I won't be able to.

I decided that if I'm going to call myself a runner, I should probably run.

Last year taught me a lot.  I got smack in the sack pretty hard.  I was in about the same shape as the year before and ran over 16 minutes slower.  I did not run too fast and die - What I had was just slower.  The funny thing is I had done more hill work before 2010 edition.

      I can only see 2 things I changes between 2009 and 2010

      1)  I had a beer with Trent in 2010 and not in 2009 - Maybe his home brew is Slow-Mo-Jo

      2)  I ran in the park the day before Monkey in 2010

**  Yes the course was a but different in 2010, but that would not account for 16+ minutes.  I have been spiralling down into the abyss ever since ... Maybe Monkey broke me ?

I am now ready to climb back out of the abyss at Monkey 2011

This will be my third in a row and I anticipate being there every year indefinitely

I'm interested to see how Trent puts all your crossed out monkeys on your shirt sleeve in about 10 years.

How do you keep your feet on the ground, when you know you were born to fly?

          Just a girl who runs.

What if ALL monkey bibs said  read "Candice"?

            (except Candice's)

(per my edit above, I think talking numbers should be the next Monkey innovation.)

Ben is always pissed that he gets # "487" instead of "1" like any other normal race that he's won for consecutive years. I tell him maybe he wouldn't win if he didn't have that number.

I still don't know why I get 88 but i'm okay with it.

                   I like this idea.

Factors that will serve as a disadvantage -

                    - Empty promises of swampy bourbon

                    - Empty promises of tasty beer

                    - Where's my two dollars??

                    Wink

Good thing it is SHARK WEEK!!

                    a) I'm building your goddamn beer shipment man. It has to be worthy of New Glarus. CHILL!

                    2) It's looking like swamp bourbon will be a reality in early 2012. Once the bar opens upstairs I can literally do whatever I want.

                    D) It's a shame when people be throwing out a perfectly good white boy like that.

ps- you should call me and ask me about my wine project with Andrew Murray Wink

                    Imminent Catastrophe

I thought Candice was a verb.

I'm really happy that Otis was born during Shark Week. He really has to live every day like it is. No choice in the matter.

I have rethought talking bibs that all say "Candice".

It would be really odd on Monkey Morning to hear the repeated muffled chants of candice, candice, candice coming from all directions.

                              No sir, no sale.

And downright scary during Dark Monkey.
