Anyone running the Mini or Geist or both?

I'm running Geist, didn't register in time for the Mini. I've run that far many times, but not in a race. Unfortunately it looks like I'm going to be doing so on only about three weeks of training, so it promises to be interesting.

I'm thinking about doing one of the DINO Series tris--I haven't done a tri before, but they look like fun. I'm also planning on doing the Knobstone Trail Mini.

Haven't raced a DINO but have friends that swear by them. Well managed and just plain fun. One day perhaps. I know someone who has a bid if you want in on the Mini. They suffered an injury last week and its not happening for him this year. LMK and I will see if he still has it.

Thats nice of you, but I think it'd be too risky right now. I've somehow convinced myself that doing Geist on 3 weeks training is a good idea. My IT band is still hurting, but it doesn't seem to flare up really badly anymore.

I understand. I tried and ice bath this weekend and it helped. Not an enjoyable everyday activity, but perhaps something that might help the ITB after a run.

Here goes nothing! I'll be the one in grey shorts screaming in pain.

U2. I hit the finish at 1:49:20 by my watch. This was a really nice HM. I will look forward to running it next year. Hope your's was fun and pain free.

We must have seen each other--I slowed a bit in the last mile or two, coming in at 1:54. I enjoyed it, but wish I'd been able to train more. I guess there is always the next race!
