Calf injury (Read 17 times)

I injured my calf last week and have since been doing a mixture of biking and light running until the calf is good enough to run seriously on again. Is there any way to count my bike miles in place of some running miles?

If the the bike miles can't be used to substitute I will be on the low end for my mileage in the first few weeks of 2016...

    No more marathons

Nik, no, the bike miles won't count.  But don't worry too much - especially this early in the year.

I suspect there will be lots of adjustments and shakeouts of each team, so early year injury adjustments won't hurt.

Heal up - that's the important part.

Lordy,  I hope there are tapes.

Training for an Ironman myself, I wish we could count bike miles!  But, it's running only.

Don't worry about low mileage out of the gate, or any other injury related cutback.  Do what ya gotta do to be healthy long term.  These miles have a way of evening themselves all out over the course of a year.
