Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Thanks Holly!!!

Oops, I missed. That is what I get for skipping the run on Saturday
I hope my foot stays okay and i will be able to begin to lengthen my runs. I may skip all the marathons this year or maybe do just one to let my foot continue to heal. I will be 59 this year, next year I;ll be in a new age group and want to be in shape for that.
Thanks again Holly.

Hiyah Spinach!
Hi spinach!
"indoors 65 laps"
Yikes!
Thanks y'all for welcoming me here.
65 laps indoors isn't really that bad. I have run 7 indoor marathons, well over a thousand laps in those marathons. You get used to it.
Walk-Jogger
For the first time in two years, I've been able to run over 40 miles in one week! I am so thrilled! I don't follow any running plan, but here is what I did:
2-21 13.1, TM2-22 02-23 3.0, TM2-24 7 Intervals-TM, 4.1 easy-TM2-25 5 easy-TM2-26 02-27 13.1, race + 1.3 warm-up

Cecil - well done!
Spinach - 7 indoor marathons - wow!
Thank you, Holly! Spinach, yes, indoor track is better than treadmill. I used to run on a tiny indoor track, 12 laps for the mile, so doing a 20 miler in there was a math exercise. Not losing count was key
Mon 12 mi (1:35) treadmill
Tue 9 mi (1:12) treadmill
Wed 0
Thu 9 mi (1:15) treadmill
Fri 12 mi (1:32) treadmill
Sat 5.1 mi (0:45) and 8 mi (1:17), with 30 min rest
Sun 13.5 mi (1:51) outdoor track
Total: 68 miles (9 hrs 28 min)
Beautiful weekend, today it was 60 degrees and sunshine! I ended up running in shorts only, no shirt
