...probably for perch or erika....
.........couple of nights ago I got what seemed to be water in my ear,
but
when I ate supper that night, felt a burning senstation and that side of my head actually swelled up as if I had been stung.
I iced it and it was ok the next morning.
thought it was gonna happen last night, but I used SwimEar and then Debrox and it didn't swell,,,,,,,,any idea about what's happening???
my regular doc will just send me to an ENT.......and I hate wasting TWO office visits.......
I'm treating this as
Swimmers Ear
unless you have other suggestions
thanks.
..............ps.........it's always something isn't it??

Tom – I am no help with this, but have recently begun to venture out of the Master’s Forum to some of the other areas here at RA. You might try posting this on the Health and Nutrition forum also, to see if you can get some extra feedback there.

i'm lovin' it... MM#1949
sorry... just saw this.
No idea. My ears never touch the water while pool running.

,,,,,,well, I guess I'll lay out the rest of the week and hope it clears up before Monday......
.....................I don't knowingly get water in my ears either,
but SOMETHING'S going on...
so far
I've cleaned both ears out with Debrox,,,,,,,adding SwimEar later in the day,
and they seem ok at the moment.
if either
of you get this later
let me know and I'll know what to do.
I hope.

Tom,
doesn't sound like swimmers ear to me, but what do I know?
As I am sure you well know (or maybe I am totally misinformed?) swimmers ear is an infection. I don't think it could develop overnight?
I was diagnosed with a severe case of swimmers ear in the 60's (I used to live in a swimming pool) the doc at the time told me to always put an eye dropper of rubbing alcohol in my ear after each swim. Today we know that is way too harsh. there are lots of recommendations to mix vinegar with alcohol to prevent swimmers ear.
Supposedly the navy seals used to use a prescription product called something like Boric Ottic, I tried a quick google and found nothing relevant so maybe I am miss remembering?
Hope you get to the source of this.
Dave
Tom, I am not much help but I used to get swimmers ear a lot. Finally they put tubes in. But it never felt like what you described. See the specialist. Hows your leg doing? Any runs?

...it may be the same forumla as the ''SwimEar'' drops,
I'll check (or find my formula to make some)
