Polar vortex, flu season, putting away the holiday stuff...January is about 58 days long...and at the end, it spits you out into February.
So here we are in February, meaning it's time to post your January miles, running accomplishments and all that jazz.
Acceptable at a dance, invaluable in a shipwreck.
a bit of a slow start to the year.

Trails are hard!
Good news is I more than doubled December's total. Bad news is that December was a whopping 3.1 miles. Oh well, 6.3 running miles. Saving grace is that there were a good number of Maggie miles that were walked, but unrecorded.
Need a fast half for late fall. Then I need to actually train for it.
January miles were 120.6, running on just 9 of the 31 days..
Two races - Wild Azalea Trail Challenge 27miles on 1/5/19 & Louisiana Marathon 26.2 on 1/20/19. Race reports were filed.
Started running at age 60.

186.9 for January. Cold temps, too much snow and a broken treadmill all conspired to keep me under 200 for the month, but not a bad start, considering.
January: 61.5
Trails Rock!

and one race, a 5k
I hammered down the trail, passing rocks and trees like they were standing still.
Another low mileage month with no injuries & no excuses.
January - 32 miles

249.6 because Pfitzinger plan. A record for me.
I ran 141 miles in January. Seems as if it had little effect. I have not been hitting expected paces and feel like I’m lacking leg strength. I’ll be adding a weekly hill workout and try to make time to get to the weight room.
January - 131 miles (prime!)
No races...

January -- 188.6 miles

January - 119 miles. Not what I wish for, but at least my ouchies seem to be healing up. Now let's just hope I don't hurt myself again anytime soon....
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
