    For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...

    Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

      Holly, thanks for the tallies!  My stability routine is a series like standing on one leg while doing an exercise & plank leg lifts

      Week 6 for BMW Dallas Marathon training with Neely Spence Gracey:

       Saturday  LR-14 miles with miles 6, 8 & 10 @9:00  14 miles  Took focus but I did the plan

       Total  just over 42 miles  42.3 miles

                The 8 milers are early morning jogs in the park.

                I keep thinking I should try to make them 9 milers, but so far

                it's not happening. The 17 miler yesterday was somewhat

                hilly and hot. Today was much cooler and nicer, and the

                track felt like it was all downhill.
