IBUB, there's definitely an optimum weight somewhere. I've been too light
myself about 10 years ago, and that did not help my running at all.
it took me about a year to get to a more reasonable weight,
I gained 10 pounds and my running improved tremendously

and that immediately slowed me down to 11 min/mile pace.

Dennis - I will add my prayers for your health and for you to find the balance between healthy eating and exercise. You have worked so hard to lose weight, I can totally understand how it can become an obsession. Please keep us posted about your tests and your progress. You know we are all behind you here.
