IBUB, there's definitely an optimum weight somewhere. I've been too light

myself about 10 years ago,  and that did not help my running at all.

it took me about a year to get to a more reasonable weight,

I gained 10 pounds and my running improved tremendously

    Tue 10.2 mi (1:28)
    Wed 7.8 mi (1:09)
    Thu 6.6 mi (0:52) am, 10.2 mi (1:33) pm
    Fri 7.8 mi (1:26)
    Sat 11.7 mi (2:03)
    Sun 14.1 mi (2:36)

    Total: 76 miles (12 hrs 13 min)

trying to get back into the groove. did just one double

and that immediately slowed me down to 11 min/mile pace.

Thanks again for feedback. Your encouragement / prayers / feedback are all appreciated. I think I did fairly well on my diet since I met with Doctor on Friday.

Dennis - I will add my prayers for your health and for you to find the balance between healthy eating and exercise.  You have worked so hard to lose weight, I can totally understand how it can become an obsession.  Please keep us posted about your tests and your progress.  You know we are all behind you here.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
