Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
Here’s what I have for last week’s tally. Some free passes handed out this week, for me too.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Thanks Holly. I'm in but with two big trips this week, it may be a tough one for me..

Self-diagnosed Piriformis Syndrome. Using a LaCrosse ball like a foam roller on right glute. Seems to be doing the trick.
Just a dude.
I'm in again. I'm kinda wanting to stick with the same training I've been doing because it has been doing well for weight loss. If I can get rid of 30-40 more pounds I'll be in a good place to take it up a notch I think. Kinda looking at August for some kind of goal race, and then do some cross country stuff. Maybe get frisky with the college kids...
Anyway, that's kinda the plan at the moment. We'll see how things go.

Well, I got a leg that's just been wonky, so I think backing off is probably the smartish thing to do. Hopefully next week goes a bit better...
Thanks!

and in the hills on the other side
Only 36 miles but some nice climbs.
