Rest day for me. I cut, hauled, and stacked nearly 4 cords of wood between yesterday and this morning.
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Tramps - would it be possible for you to run on the left hand side of the road? Then at least you'll see them coming.
Be safe. Be kind.

"Some are the strong, silent type. You can't put your finger on exactly what it is they bring to the table until you run without them and then you realize that their steadiness fills a hole that leaks energy in their absence." - Kristin Armstrong
Not so much. Raining. 37F. Light winds. The usual. In the PNW, the weather forecast in October should read: rainy, mid 30's to low 40's daytime, low to mid 30's at night. The forecast in November, December, January, and February should all read: "See October". I went for a nice 3.27 mile run in a light drizzle, or a really heavy fog, it was hard to tell which it was.
"During a marathon, I run about two-thirds of the time. That's plenty." - Margaret Davis, 85 Ed Whitlock regarding his 2:54:48 marathon at age 73, "That was a good day. It was never a struggle."
