          Good Morning!

          Last week:

          Mon: 4 miles

          Tues: 4.2 miles

          Thurs: 10 miles

Sat: 9.9 miles (10 mile race, but watch measured it at 9.9 so that's all I'm taking credit for)

          TOTAL: 28.1

My trail race on Saturday was a mixed bag. On the one hand I PR'd my previous time of 2:13 with a 2:01 so I was happy about that. On the other hand I was 2nd AG as the 3rd person in my AG dropped down to the 5K, so it really didn't matter my time, I still would have gotten 2nd AG. lol.  But it's a tough race with 1700 ft elev gain in just 10 miles so quite a bit of climbing and it's a very exposed trail so you warm up quick!  I had a good time and I PR'd so that is what was most important to me anyways.

Nothing special planned for the week running-wise. which is fine because we are going to hit upper 80's this week, but will have a nice cool down for the wknd so a long run will be more comfortable.  Goal for the week is 30-35 miles.

            Th - 6 miles (10:13/mile)

            F - 7.4 miles (9:38/mile)

            Sa - rest

This is the 3rd week of >50 miles running. With Memorial Day weekend and a houseful of guests, I'll take a bit of a cutback week this week.

Looks like a really well planned and balanced week, Fred. With two speed workouts, easy runs, a day off and a longer run. And it's really great your son is joining you on some of those runs. My daughter is 14 and when she was little we used to do shorter half mile loops around the house sometimes, but now there's no chance she's going to run with me.

Tammy, congratulations on the 10 mile race and on the PR! 1700ft on 10 miles is a lot!  I don't know about the 9.9 miles on the watch, when you climb, and with a lot of switchbacks the GPS often misses many of them and reports a shorter distance

Really nice week, Paul! 50+ on 5 days is always solid, even if it was just 5x10, but I see two long runs over 13mi, that's much better.
