Thanks, Wildchild, for managing this every month, for the beautiful photograph (as all yours are), and for the great C.S. Lewis quote.
130.7 miles this month - 2nd highest monthly total for this year.
2nd place (racewalker) in the Saunders At Rye Harbor 10K

Without ice cream there would be darkness and chaos.
44.8 miles for me for my first full month back. The consistancy not the total miles is what is exciting for me.

OM, that trail is nowhere near flat! Here's the elevation profile from that run. I think that picture was taken at about mile 2.4 on the little tiny flat part. But you could certainly run on it anyway! It's much more runnable than some parts of the trail I took you on. I ran 200.5 miles in August, my 2nd highest month ever. I considered doing a short run this morning because I only needed 1.8 miles to set a new record, but decided I really need to start tapering at some point for this darn marathon on Monday... so I'm taking a rest day. I slept an extra hour this morning instead. ETA: a highlight for the month was meeting Tramps and Tribee!

I think I better send this to my Coach before I chat with him about my road trip plans.
Thanks again for the thread and glad you hit 200. I did that several times last year and maybe I will later this year. For now I'm happy to report my highest mileage month since last November, when I was getting ready to run RnR Las Vegas.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

Thanks wild! I had no skipping miles, in August...but I, obviously, skipped some runs because my total is the least it's been all year.
August: 141.2 (17:31:08)
2012: 1451.2 (185:30:45)
I just realized I never logged Wednesday's run...

My biggest accomplishment for the month was meeting a bunch of great people in the Ragnar Relay! Oh...and we won our division, too.
Oh--I also got to watch my DD run her 1st half marathon.
I think that's it. I'm not sure how August will go. My achilles is acting up...kind of ticking me off.
140.1 miles. About 100 miles more than last month.
Thanks, Carolyn!
