Holly, thank you for the Rudy picture. Nice 7 miler.

RunnerKSA 4.2

Tom White shares the gift of music. I may fire that up in my office later.
Mrrun works up and appetite with a 5K followed by a Hanukkah party with angels.
Falconfixer flies for 12 miles. I started using that cut in the smoker and the results have improved dramatically.
Joe618 is walking on sunshine for 4.3.
Wildchild puts the screws to some friends and gets 5.7. I don't know how she refrained from chasing the elk. My running partner would have been chomping at the bit.

Henrun prepares for stitch removal (and dish washing duty)and knocks out a mile and a half. he parties with the family.

5K Saturday followed by three hours at a craft $how. DW and I went into the field out back and cut our Christmas tree and then spent the rest of the day decorating it.
Steve - I hope you are not too pooped out from recapping some 220 posts last week. Many a day I’ve done something I wouldn’t have done because of you. Much Appreciated. Thanks.

You're all appreciated. After today, I'm taking a sabbatical until after my audit carp.
SteveP
Thanks, Steve.
Joe- looking forward to following your training progress!
3.1 this morning on the treadmill. I'm running (pun intended) late now, but I got it done! Later, Masters....
Out there running since dinosaurs roamed the earth
Trails are hard!
Happy Monday, all. Steve--good luck to you. And even more to whom ever is auditing you. They are in for a treat
For all of those who were concerned about how close Erika was to the latest Alaska quake, I found this to be an interesting follow-up.
Still haven't worked out how to fit running in, but our lakeside stroll is now up to almost 2 miles. Won't be long till we complete the loop. Did find out what Maggie wants for Christmas--right about the time we were turning around, she found the remnants of a rabbit road kill that she DID NOT want to give up. Ended up having to carry her probably a 1/4 mile before she would give up trying to go back for it.
Nice racing over the weekend. Seem to remember some time frame PRs amongst the results.
ETA: attempt to copy from Google photo instead of FB. Which, excitingly enough, seems to work. Maggie dressed up to visit Santa. Can't let Holly have ALL the puppy pics. Even though our puppy is already 28.5 lbs. and growing.
Need a fast half for late fall. Then I need to actually train for it.
Steve--enjoy the sabbatical, if not the audit.
Stumpy--you left perfectly good road kill? Geez.
Holly--both TriBee and I had the flu shot; didn't seem to help her.
Carolyn--what a great "arts and crafts" project! That must have been funny to see.
runr-nut--that's a lot of leaves. Very ambitious of you.
spacity--sounds--and looks--like an awesome day!
"Miami Miracle" indeed.
Well our "flurries to 1-inch" forecast actually turned out to be about 5 inches so I pulled out the cross-country skis and tooled around a bit this morning. (Schools closed, no one on our small road.) I was curious about how my knee would do. I think I'd be fine on groomed trails and flats but I'm not so sure I should be doing anything beyond the easiest backcountry any more. I feel the torque of any sideways pressure immediately. Anyway, not sure how to put that in the log but it was something.
ETA: My holiday gift: a ranking of 100 christmas songs, from worst to best, with pretty funny commentary.
Be safe. Be kind.

Maggie's opinion exactly. Mine, not so much.

Yay for tramps' x-c skiing,
and anyone else who can too. That’s what I’d still be doingall winter long instead of runningif I still lived a little south of erika-land.However, still love putting in the x-c trackson the grassy knolls of local parks wheneverthere’s a good snow. It was good enoughabout ten years ago to do it for all fivemiles of the morning commute.
ps - NHK World I like to watch had a time lapse
of snow accumulating seemingly several feet
over a couple of hours back there..Spacity - didn’t see the pics the first time. How long did it take to walk up those rocks?and, how-in-the-world could you get down in only an hour. Looks very dangerous. Be careful. Steve - good luck on the auditsMay Batman be with you.Hurry back and, in the meantime, keep us up-to-date with your postings.
Yes I climbed that! No path up you made your own! What a fun day..
"Enjoy yourself. Your younger days never come again." 100yo T. Igarashi to me in geta at top of Mt. Fuji (8/2/87)
Tet: the overall hike was 1 miles. It took us an hour for the total hike. I would say even up 30 min/down 30 min. The coming down was easier than the going up. I could spend a lot of time on my butt coming down...not so much going up It was a tough hike to be sure!

Steve - good luck with the audit.
Runr-nut - 22 bags? Wow!
Spacity - beautiful!
Kevin - sadly, I cannot see the picture....
No run for me today, swimming instead. It took me a while to get out the door because DD was parked in the driveway blocking my route out of the garage (DH apparently told her to park there last night, even though I had told him I was going to the Y in the morning). I woke her up but neither of us could find her keys (DH took them last night and doesn't remember where he put them). Good thing we have a spare set. Locked in the gun cabinet. Now, where is the key to the gun cabinet? Anyway, finally made it out the door. 50 times across the pool (1250 yards).
Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
....VERY Cool spacity........

....40-min PoolRun/shoes....
Spacity- that does NOT look hikeable to me! Good job!

FWIW, I see it.
