Bushrat Runner

Thought I would skip all the slow build up and go straight from 3 mile runs to 5, 7, and then 12 this week. Sort of got my comeuppance today on the 12 miler. Whoops. But we made it up and down the road without any bear encounters, mostly ran even when I was bonking, and we get to go out again tomorrow to document and manage the spectacle that everybody is flying in to see...well worth it.

For those that want to waste their time...check out the bear and salmon cams...

Yep, Holly, getting up early these days helps a lot! Nice of you to help out with SD's family yesterday.

Jay - it is my mom who has ALS.  However, she stubbornly refuses to try anything that might be helpful, so SD went to the support group meeting alone.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
