Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
Thanks for the thread & summations Holly!

Hi Mike!
My immune system, apparently. I was sick back in January and it kept me from running for awhile. I got sick again a few weeks ago and am just starting to ramp back up. I've lost some endurance, but I'm doing a lot of strength stuff that should help me avoid actual running-related injuries. Hoping to run a solid marathon in the fall!
How is your running going? Looks like a Hansons' plan ...
Thank you, Holly! Pfriese, congratulations on BQ!!

Running another marathon just 13 days after Boston was a huge gamble of course. I'm nowhere close to full recovery. But weather forecast was amazing, so I registered at the last moment, thinking I would just jog it if things do not go well. And, yes, we got very lucky with the weather today: around 57 degrees, cloudy with a light breeze. Plus, New Jersey has these totally amazing pacing teams. I was hanging on for dear life with the 3:10 team, mostly from behind, trying to catch up. Very even splits overall, 3rd in the 50-54 AG
Realized I forgot to do this...
Thanks Holly!!!
