Marathon Maniac #957
For those of you who are new, this is the 40/40 thread, for people who are over 40 years old who run 40 miles/week or more. We give Free Passes to those who come really close or try really hard...
This is what I have for last week's tally - still a couple that need to check in to make sure my numbers are right.

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."
As always, thanks Holly!
I will be traveling to Sedona this weekend. This should give me an opportunity to run in the dry heat, with hills.

Half Marathon in Erie this sunday. So need to balance keeping miles up with lining up sunday AM in some sort off "fresh" legs
8
1 mi Warmup; 13.1 half; 6 miles on half second lap;
Ended up running .5 warmup due to late start; 13.1 half; 9.5 miles with skeetermc on her 2nd lap of full (miles 13 - 20, cut through to mile 25 about .5 walk; then walk almost to betwen mile 24 -25 -- not counted in total; then ran last 2.5 miles with her to the finish). In total I traveled like 25 miles (with a 20 min break between my half and 2nd lap; then a the walk break .... should have just went the whole way with her.

Holly,
Whoo Hoo ... I was not in last place this week
I will be running Columbus 10/18 and have Erie Half this weekend (May lay sub 1:40 on the line as long as I feel like I will not jeopardize the overall training plan and weather cooperates) and Akron Half 9/26 (Probable MP training run).
Thanks
BuckeyeChamp - I am running the Columbus Marathon as well! So is Breger and Dg.
I am also running the Air Force HM on 9/19. Good luck this weekend at the Erie!
i'm lovin' it... MM#1949

Thanks Holly,
Monday 26.2 miles Heart of America Marathon
Tuesday 5.0 miles
Friday 46.6 miles Patriot Run (close I am not sure the correct total)

thanks Holly!
It seems a little silly now to type a plan, but since this is the first time I've qualified for both 40's, I'm going to post it.
I wonder if I could keep this up long term. You-all are amazing.
Wow Tom!
Buckeye-Champ, cool you're running Columbus too!
total... just barely squeaking in here.. 40.8 miles.
