Rainy Friday Runs (Read 385 times)

Fatozzig, I would be happy to help you with that.

Thanks for the offer!  I always like the question, "Are you comfortable?"  Um, no.  My boob is being squashed flat as a pancake.

    The Mammogram
    By Julia Napier©

For years and years they told me,
    Be careful of your breasts.
Don't ever squeeze or bruise them.
    And give them monthly tests.

So I heeded all their warnings,
    And protected them by law.
    Guarded them very carefully,
And I always wore my bra.

After 30 years of astute care,
    My gyno, Dr. Pruitt,
Said I should get a Mammogram.
    "O.K." I said, 'let's do it."

"Stand up here real close" she said,
(She got my boob in line),
"And tell me when it hurts," she said,
"Ah yes! Right there, that's fine."

    She stepped upon a pedal,
I could not believe my eyes!
A plastic plate came slamming down,
    My hooter's in a vise!

My skin was stretched and mangled,
    From underneath my chin.
My poor boob was being squashed,
    To Swedish Pancake thin.

    Excruciating pain I felt,
    Within it's vise-like grip.
A prisoner in this vicious thing,
    My poor defenseless tit!

"Take a deep breath" she said to me,
Who does she think she's kidding?!?
My chest is mashed in her machine,
    And woozy I am getting.

"There, that's good," I heard her say,
    (The room was slowly swaying.)
"Now, let's have a go at the other one."
    Have mercy, I was praying.

It squeezed me from both up and down,
It squeezed me from both sides.
I'll bet SHE'S never had this done,
    To HER tender little hide.

Next time that they make me do this,
    I will request a blindfold.
I have no wish to see again,
    My knockers getting steam rolled.

If I had no problem when I came in,
    I surely have one now.
If there had been a cyst in there,
    It would have gone "ker-pow!"

This machine was created by a man,
Of this, I have no doubt.
I'd like to stick his balls in there,
And see how THEY come out!

Woo Hoo, my Wednesday trial just settled with a misdemeanor.  I'm going to go out for a run instead of working thru lunch and will check back with y'all later.  It's 80 and sunny out there, so you understand my haste!

      grins,

      A

I keep telling you, they are ALL guilty.  Spareribs

Everyone seems fairly peppy today, it's great.

        Hear, hear, Doug, that's super.

Liz, I love the Des. Housecats Avatar, did I mention I call my 2 the "Starvin Marvins"  (South Park episode) as they chase us around about an hour before each meal (2 per day) scolding us and complaining about how hongery they are.  We can't leave food out as the vet scolded us a few whiles ago for them being chubby.

Brell, take care of yourself, too.  Hope you are enjoying the day.

Along with not have the expense and chafing of sports bras, I get to substitute chest x-rays for mammograms, nah -nah

Oh, I want to say special hellos to Marf and henrun, and second what haas already been said.  Wish we could see you more than 1x a year.

Ah Ribs, that's not the issue.  My clients are all NOT guilty, which isn't saying they're all innocent.

        Just not guilty

        grins,

Oh Leslie, what a riot. I really have to stop reading this stuff at work.

Not guilty vs. not innocent... hmm, sometimes a very fine line.

Dilly dalllying with hotel sites for Boston... almost helping me decide NOT to go. Holy carp they're awful proud of some of their places! I think I rented a house for a month when I was in college for less than some of these nightly rates. And it wasn't a bad house, either! (of course, it also wasn't in Bawston....)

3.8 recovery miles for me today, thinking about stuff to do this weekend. Can't let my mind wander though because when it's out wandering around my legs get into mischief and speed up. Ended up with 9:18 avg pace, which is fine. Nice day with no noticeable smoke around us, but I can see it off to the south from my window.

                  Excellent news, Steve!

Life is a headlong rush into the unknown. We can hunker down and hope nothing hits us or we can stand tall, lean into the wind and say, "Bring it on, darlin', and don't be stingy with the jalapenos."

                  Trails are hard!

Life is good, Steve.  Sounds like an almost perfect weekend.

Need a fast half for late fall.  Then I need to actually train for it.

SteveP - Sounds like you got all the bases covered for a fantabulous weekend!
