reading karin's post made my HR go up and up. Love that girl. She is one precious lady and her kids are too.

Dinner was a smashing success. That risotto dish is a must for dinner for Hanukkah I was told tonight. Wait until they try my pumpkin cheesecake....maybe they will be so full that they will not want to eat a bite, then I will have the whole thing for myself.

Good to see we are not the only ones freezing with snow coming down!  My DW went running with the jogging club in weather rivaling that of Sarge's and Wood Lady's.

      Breger1 75°!    I am soooo jealous!

Now where is that plane ticket before I miss dinner at Mariposai's?

No muffins for the club this week for those that may be wondering.  None, in fact, until the new year given my travel schedule.

well...you did NOT call early enough for your ticket my dear twocat...you could have made it here on time if you call for your tickets ahead of time...sorry...others took your seat.

dinner was sure Fantastic!!! but we were missing the drink.

now...if you can still make it for the cheesecake....there is still time for dessert twocat...come on down.

We had a yummy dinner too! Grilled salmon marinated in a brown sugar-soy sauce-white wine-lemon juice marinade from the Sunset 2002 annual cook book. Love that... And I made risotto, too! It was supposed to be mushroom risotto, but I forgot to get 'shrooms at the store. So... it was regular but still very good!

Awesome run there Marj! And wow Tom with your 6 YEAR streak of monthly races! That's amazing.

I ran 10.3 today at about 10F temps. It felt so good to have a "long" run! That's the longest since late October. Woohoo! Felt pretty good too. I ran long today because I had the time; have no idea what tomorrow will bring.

Holly, I used polypro liners in fleece gloves today and was just fine. Actually overheated a bit, except my face... Just had a neck gaitor on that I pulled up a couple times. I'm a little rashy/slotchy in the cheeks now so might've got a little too chilled out there.

Pumpkin risotto, baked salmon, baby green salad sprinkled with some toasted pumpkin seeds (I found a great recipe for this looking around the recipe link that twocat gave us the other night). I even got my harvest tablecloth on the table. Dinner anyone?

Oh, that sounds lovely!  Too late for leftovers?

Oh, that sounds lovely, too!  My we have some great cooks here!

Erika - can you give me a brand name or website for those?  Last year I bought some UA glove liners, but they weren't what I thought they would be, and they have a sort of rubberized coating (I'm guessing for gripping bike handlebars) that make them too hard to get into my mittens.

Anybody know of runners with some cartilage missing behind the knee cap? (I never had any of the symptoms of "Runner's Knee", like soreness behind the knee cap which makes me suspicious)

Perch - my DH is not a runner, but he had some cartilage missing in his knee, I thought behind the knee cap.  I remember the doc saying it had taken years to wear away, and that bone was rubbing on bone.  Anyway, last year he had knee surgery which entailed having the doc make many tiny drill holes in the bone to stimulate cartilage growth.  A long recovery - nearly 3 months off work, but it seems to have worked fairly well.  Don't know if this translates.
